I would be interested in any information or opinions concerning the relative
performance of the 50 Summicron versus Summilux R lenses.
In addition, if Erwin Puts' is "listening", I was wondering if you could
further clarify your observation that the 50 Summicron R, while resolving
less detail, provides a "smoother" image than the 50 Summicron M. At the
risk of my attempting to count angels on the head of a pin, what is meant by
"smoother"?
