I had one totally reniew from the electronics point of view, for free, in= Solms in the late 80's, because it was a well known problem. (long after the end of the warranty). It don't happen with all of them, but you bette= r buy a LEICA GMBH (88) or a LEICA CAMERA GMBH (89-96) M6. (Actually LEICA CAMERA AG) Lucien BELGIUM
