Most certainly the n of dots per line is larger in a MF than in a 35mm
format.
OTH, I remember also Dr. Paul Wolff, who already wrote in 1935 ("Meine
Erfahrungen mit der Leica"), which I luckily inherited, that he enhances his
exhibition pics up to 1.10 m or 1.20 m. And, since nobody believed his
words, he simply invited everybody into his darkroom and proved it ...
Some lenses of today are better than the fresh developed, rather soft
Summar ;-), and (most of) the other stuff also, films, papers, chemicals -
so let's tell him also (besides the dots per line):
"Have courage, guy. Take your M-Leica, if it's your "third eye". Try it.
And when you are careful with the rest of the stuff also, you _certainly_
will make it!"

PS: Sieff showed almost exclusively enhancements
of his 35 mm formats (because hardly anybody
wanted his Hassy pics), and sold a lot of stuff.
At least, he says so in his books.
