I have 3 DR's and have mixed up the "eyes" so that I don't really know which went with what. According to Roy Moss, who is considered the expert on DR Summicrons, the early eyes had the Leitz condenser logo, while the later ones just said E.Leitz Wetzler & the physical confirmation was different between the two. You can check back to an old article by Roy Moss in the LHSA "Viewfinder" for more specifics. Actually I have 4 DR Summicrons, but one has no eyes which I never used anyways and will probably sell at least 2 sets in the next LHSA catalog. I have carefully tested these early Rigid Summicrons against the later 8 element lenses & agree completely with Roy Moss that they were better than the later 8 element ones & especially the collapsibles, in all repects except for weight - they were heavy.
