     Hi,
     
      What kind of problems are you talking about?  I used to use a R3MOT 
     for several years with no problem at all and am using a R3 with no 
     problem so far.

My experience with R3's not good:  I owned two, and had more than my share of 
repair problems!  My R4, by comparison, never gave me any trouble!   I still 
use  the R4 as back up to my R5 which has also never given me any problems!
 In truth, I mostly us M5 these days!  So much for my experience the Leica
SLRs.   Good luck.
