Well, here we go again:

My best lens for portraits is a Minolta 85mm f2.8 VARISOFT.
No need for filters, cellophane, women's stockings, vaseline, touch-ups!
All I need is to watch my aperture and softness ring and shoot.
It's not cheap, but it beats Nicola Perscheid by some tens of thousands,
and there is still a sharp image at the heart of things surrounded by glow
which attenuates any blemish to where you don't see it anymore.
So, guys, don't be affraid to step up and pay for a real tool instead of
improvisations if you care about what you get on film!
