Gads.  I wish I could, but it is a hotly debated point.  I suspect Leica
made some non-convertible lenses, then some convertibles ones, then back to
the non-convertible type, to use up parts, the same sort of thing that
found my '67 Alpine V sporting the fitment for a hand crank.  

2,000,000 is probably a good benchmark for the change or, at least, as good
as any until we get better data.
