[Leica] Forthcoming Opening Night Reception and new exhibition at Leica Gallery, New Yor

On Thursday, January 29 from 5 to 8 PM there will be an opening reception for
our next exhibition (Jan 30 - March 14). In the main gallery area will be Burk
Uzzle's "Daytona Bike Week." Uzzle is one of America's finest photographers
who was twice President of Magnum Photos. He has covered Daytona for over
twenty-five years both as a photographer and a participant. Signed copies of
his out-of-print book, "All American," will be available and he will be at the
reception. In our Oskar Barnack Room there will be Micha Bar-Am's "Israel."
Bar-Am is a Magnum correspondent whose exhibition at Leica Gallery is in
celebration of his forthcoming (Feb. - May '98) exhibition at the
International Center of Photography Uptown. Signed copies of his new book,
"Israel," (Simon & Schuster, 1998) will be for sale and the photographer will
also be present at the reception. Of course, signed photographs by Uzzle and
Bar-Am will also be available. There is no admission charge and all LUG
members are cordially invited. There will be refreshments and staff members of
Leica Camera will be present to say hello. We wanted to give enough advanced
notice so that LUG members can make arrangements to be there. - Hope to see
