About the Swedish liquor stores:
Long ago I recall a radio talk jock comment on a scene he
witnessed in Sweden. This guy has just bought his Christmas booze
form a kiosk and has it all in a box. He turns to leave, takes a
deep six on the pavement's ice, smashing all the bottles. He is
the last customer and looks up as a large Swedish woman closes the
gate which has the Swedish word for "closed" which sounds or looks
something like "stinks" in English. :-)
