 Vince -

With the exception of a few die-hards like myself, that like to use
60 year old Leicas like your IIIb - the rest of them go into collections
& are probably never used, much like a 60 year old automobile.

The value of collectibles are based usually on condition and rarity.
Your camera is rated as a 4 on a scale of 1- 9 which means that it
wasn't as common a 1 but certainly not rare, with 38,000 made from
1938 to 1945. Depending on condition, your outfit would retail for
between $500 & $1100 and a dealer would pay you about 60% of that.
If it has any authentic military engravings, "Luftwafen Eigentum,
Heer or W.H". it could then easily be worth about $3,000 to $8,000.
It would be comparable to owning the BMW driven by Erwin Rommel,
 motorcycle not auto.
