Hello Lucien:

I have the new "Handbuch des Leica Systems 1998" (new edition that I got 
two weeks ago as a LeicaCard member). The answer is short: "njet" 
according to the ROM-conversion tables on page 9-10 of this book.
- - Apo-Extender 1,4x (11249): nicht m=F6glich
- - Extender 2x (11236): nicht m=F6glich
- - Apo-Extender 2x (11262): nicht m=F6glich
- - Apo-Extender 2x (11269): already with ROM contact strip.
So, if you buy new, only the latest version of the Apo-Extender 2x 
(11269) is ROM-equipped. Older versions of the Apo-Extender 2x can not be 
retroffited with ROM. And the current version of the Apo-Extender 1,4x 
has no ROM  either.
