There has been a lot of comment on the fact that Leica R sales were down
in the latest reporting period. I read somewhere that Nikon sales were
down 13%. I cannot remember where I read this but the source was an
European brokerage firm. I assume this was for a half-year or annual
reporting period. This makes sense. The F5 has been out for a while.
Prices are dropping. A very similar situation to Leica R. This is
classical economics and says nothing about the viability of the R line,
or the Nikon F5,  in my opinion.
