The confidence issue you mentioned (Ted) really cuts to the core. I actually have a high degree of faith in my M6 meter and very seldom come back with unacceptable results. I'm still trying to get the knack of how much to compensate when shooting in the snow and similar circumstances but I'm getting there. My spotmeter, the apparent cause of Walt's nuptials, is another matter. There's a lot that I like about it but I can't honestly say I'm confident I'm going to come back with what I want. The same holds true for my little Gossen pilot for exactly the opposite reasons (35% of view). Increasingly I wind up aiming my spotmeter at a gray card which seems to be pretty much the same as taking an incident reading, no? I guess I really should get me one. A recommendation perhaps? Ted?
