The "Holy War" on UV filters is really humorous when you think of it.
After all, selecting and using a filter is like choosing a film,  very much
a subjective need based on the photographer.  There is no right or wrong.
IMO, I prefer a slight warming filter over a UV, but then again I prefer 
a good Ektachrome or Fujichrome over Kodachrome. :-)
