Nope.  The mark-up is higher on Hoya then on Tiffen, meaning more bucks for
the Hoya distributor.  But the return rate is about 40% higher for Hoya.
And, in the case of my local store, this was primarily wiht professionals,
their prime customers in terms of $$$.

I believe the PMA figures bear this out, incidentally.  Hoya IS junk:  have
you ever USED one of their filters?  Wavy glass, poorly made mounts, I
shudder at the thought.  I spent six months with one of their filters
crapping up one of my Contax RF lenses.  Finally busted the sucker to get
it out.  The filter mount disintegrated (thank God, I CAN judge junk!), and
the lens was undamaged.

No, spare me Hoya.  Quality or nothing.  But, "quality" and "Hoya" is like
"ROR" and "response to customer questions".  Nada is nada.
