When I lived in LA I used to go there all the time and 9 times out of 10 the paper/film/chemicals I purchased from there were mis treated and usually fogged. They tend to leave boxes of film/paper on the loading dock in that hot LA sun for hours. I finally stopped buying perishables there and stuck with the equipment that I knew wouldn't go bad. If you are looking for a good source for paper/chemicals Id recommend Photographers Supply here in San Francisco. They do mail order, have good prices and have a relatively large stock of papers and films. Another source (though their prices are a little high, and they have a major attitude problem (including the owner Peter Pfirzig)) is Looking Glass in Berkeley, California. They have one of the larger supplies of paper Ive seen and I know they treat it properly. - -Mark - ----------------------------------------------------------------- On Sat, 3 Jul 1999, Ken Wilcox wrote: Oriental is available from Freestyle. Orders are usually filled within a week. Interestingly I haven't noted the problem you describe with Spotone on Illford. Do you dilute with distilled water?
