It was held at his home (he calls it his studio). Afterwards we went shooting in Washington square park (theme). In his apartment I saw 2 M6s, one with a 35 summicron (non asph) -- the other with a 28 elmarit He took with him 2 canon EOS 1n (made his girl friend carry one) with I think was a 28-70 zoom Did not see him using autofocus Watching him shoot at the park was awesome (at least to me).. David is a mild manner, very soft spoken person... but he has no qualm abt sticking the EOS a foot away from a stranger's face and shoot. He told us an interesting story abt Selgado (he worked with a few times).. When Selgado meets a subject(s) whom he want to take a pic of.. the person or persons usually smiles warmly.. 1) he doesn't smile back 2) if the subject is smiling when he is abt to take a shot, he would hold up his left hand and makes a fist.. (he might even shake the fist).. the subject seeing the clenched fist immediately puts on a dead pan expression btw, with Ms.. he often does not frame (shoot at the hip... actually more shoulder/chest level) Anyone see his video/story/interview on Night line with Ted Koppel?? Ting
