I have an SB-25 and a small Vivitar that I currently use on my M6. I have a fairly extensive Contax SLR system which I'll now be selling and the flashes in that system are proprietary to Contax. I want a small flash that I can carry in my bag for fill if needed. I also want a flash that is powerful -- along the lines of the SB-25 -- in case I need it. Though I probably won't carry it all the time. I doubt if one flash will fill both needs (small size and lots of power). Or is there such a beast. I'm not averse to buying two separate flashes. Right now I'm just looking for feedback. Any help would be greatly appreciated.>> - ---------- Well I guess it aint so small, but I used a Metz 50 for a while with an R7 and it was definitely a good thing. It's a great flash and you don't have to schlep around battery paks. It felt stable and the results were good. At least I didn't ever think that I 'should' have gotten a better flash and at the same time it wasn't so inconvenient. I sold the flash a while back. So much for me and flashes. I still have the adapter - just in case. I've never been any good nor had much experience with any kind of lighting at all (sunlight works once in a blue moon)?) I was thinking how can a photographer not be capable of using a flash properly. For a while I was doing some indoor macro stuff and used a $20.00 10 million watt dual garage (yellow) work light. The heat was unbearable.
