Naturally, quality control was a problem- what do you expect when people try to assemble cameras while wearing mitts? And that haze that sometimes shows up on lenses- well, seal oil lamps can be pretty damn smoky! By the way, did you know that Bob and Doug Mackenzie did quality control at Midland before they hit it big on TV? Eh?
