I expand! Yesterday, I listened to a radio interview with a psychiatrist whose premise is that one of the secrets to a long and full life is not just the old ideas about eating right, not smoking, nor drinking to excess. He felt, and I tended to agree with him the more he explained, that we as social animals are enriched by the number of 'connections' we have to others! Those people who have the greatest numbers of connections, or ties, with other people tend to lead longer and fuller lives- I thought older people had a lot of folks come to their funerals because they had been around so long, but then, this is generalizing a cause and effect that might be different from reality! I marvel everyday that I have so many of these 'connections', to at least 300+ LUGgers who, while so devoted to one marque, are such a varies and disparate group. I realize that being that way, we all will disagree on something at one time or another. It reminded me of what an old girlfriend said when I was disappointed that she didn't relish the company of certain friends- " You just want everybody you know to like one another, and it doesn't happen!" Maybe I am being ever hopeful that my 'friends' will like one another, but even if not, it would be, to me, an excellent idea for us all to stop a moment before we hit the send button, and think whether our comments are really helpful or hurtful to others. I cherish communicating with everyone of you, on list and off. I even feel loved and wanted when Marc chastises me, but I take it with a grain of salt. I want these connections to make me as wise and long lived as our own Ted- who must have A BUNCH of connections! In the greater scheme of things, as someone asked me, "In six months, what the Hell difference will it make?" So, Paul, continue to call yourself MD or whatever ( you can call me Al!) and you other folks, lighten up! We got more important fish to fry here! Like when is this M7.72 coming out!! :o}~ Bubba Dan Where do you come off suggesting such.
