We agreed to focus first on the long body series. He said that when I had the $25K startup money, he'd do it :=( The long and winding road to rapid screwmount advancement is an expensive journey for so few takers, it'll never (mother said to avoid the use of that word) happen. for $24,999, I can buy enough s/m leicavits or accura winders Alistair - -----Original Message----- From: Bernard Delgado [mailto:delgado@nytimes.com] Sent: Thursday, September 02, 1999 3:32 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Cc: xavier.logean@epfl.ch Subject: [Leica] M3 or rapidwinder >Date: Thu, 02 Sep 1999 16:55:11 +0200 >From: Xavier Logean <xavier.logean@epfl.ch> >Subject: [Leica] M3 or rapidwinder > >Hi, > >I have a M6 + 35 1.4 asph + 50 2.8 + 90 2.8 + skopar 25 4 and >I'm considering getting a rapidwinder for the M6 or buying a M3 (for a >little more $). > >I am using 65% 35mm, 20% 50mm, and the other lenses equally. > >This is in my mind for a while and I don't know what to do. > >A second body would be nice but I would probably need to buy a meter for >the M3 ... > >As I heard the rapidwinder is really nice ... > >Any advises ? > >Xavier. - ------------------ Hello I purchased a rapidwinder for my M6 this summer. I really enjoy it. It is especially useful in vertical shots in that I think the camera can be held steadier. I only wish Tom would make one for the screwount cameras too. 8) BTW, as for the 25/4 skopar, I havent tried it yet....but I think I'll stick w/ my 25/3.5 canon screwmount. The canon is rangefinder coupled. I think the M3's viewfinder is the best for the 50mm & 90mm bye Bernard
