Yes -- unless you need a fast lens (it's f4.0), unless you need a compact
lens (it's about the size of a 90), or unless you're absolutely addicted to
having the DOF scale appear on the barrel of the lens (it doesn't). And
then there's the price, of course. I've used the lens for a year and find
it completely satisfactory. As another LUGger has noted, it's a perfect
