Why not buy the last version that had the tab in the first place? It's the
SAME optical design as the current version with buit-in hood & I'm sure you
can find one in mint or mint- for much less than $900. I saw one at the last
camera show I went to in like-new condition in the box with everything,
caps, hood, & hood cover, for $600. If I'd had the cash, it would be mine
today.
