Bower's M book was the only inspiration I had that the Leica could be useful 
for travel and scenic photography, which is what I do.  Otherwise I would 
have given up photography when I could no longer carry SLR gear around.  
Suddenly my Leicas were more than just a collection, they were the saviors of 
my interest in the art.  Not everyone wants to take HCB-type B&W candids or 
even people-pictures at all, but for those who do there are plentiful sources 
of inspiration in print.  I will be forever grateful to Mr. Bower for his 
innovative slant in that respect.

Someone writes 3 books that heap nothing but zealous praise on every body and 
lens Leica makes or made.  Unsolicited testimonial from an outside source.  
Doesn't cost Leica one deutschmark.  What would their motivation be for not 
cooperating?
