There was never a f/1.0 lens in the FD series. The fastest 50mm lens in the FD line up were: 55mm f/1.2, 55mm f/1.2 Aspherical, 50mm f/1.2, and 50mm f/1.2 'L'. There was also a FD 85mm f/1.2 'L'. Canon once made a f/0.95 lens for the Canon 7 which had a special bayonet mount for this huge lens. It was reported that the lens was actually a f/0.99 design, but since JIS allowed a 5% margin, the labelling of f/0.95 was permitted. Joseph
