Knowing I already had a 35mm, the Leica rep suggested I consider the 21mm ASPH. I did. I bought it. Sooner, or later, you will, too. Here are the numbers. The 35mm gives has a 64 deg. angle of view. The 24mm is 84 deg. and the 21mm is 92 deg. I agreed, why not go for the additional 8 deg. of coverage? I think you'll want to know your lens is collecting, so I doubt you'll satisfied for long guesstimating framing based on your 28mm lines. In other words, you'll probably buy 24mm finder anyway. Whether you go with the 24mm or the 21mm, you'll have a superb lens. You can't go wrong with either. However, if you get the 21mm now, you won't be tempted by it later and you might find it easier to forego the 24mm, altogether. Besides, with the 21mm you can almost always get a bit closer to your subject and equal the view of the 24mm. But there are times you just can't back up to make the 24mm get all the subject matter you want. Enjoy. Chris Lawson
