EITHER strike a licensing deal with Cosina (chances nil) OR address the gaps in the M lens lineup, in particular the 75/2.8 and the fast wideangle issue (you NEED a 28/2 and/or a 24/2). Figure out a way to low-cost entry to the M system, both in terms of lenses and bodies. For example, reduce the price of the 50/2 lens or make a non-asph 35/2. Figure out a cheaper way to deliver the goods within the present chassis. At the moment the cheapest way into the M system is either the Bessa R or, much better ideas, a s/h Canon rf body or a battered M2. Again, a licensing deal may be necessary. INNOVATE. The M6 is not such an insanely great camera that the product line can afford to stay still. Surprise us. How about a (?digital-ready) AE M6 with the best matrix metering anyone ever saw, and a redesigned shutter, but that keeps the ergonomics the same/similar? Allow yourselves to have some crazy ideas. Take some drugs. Hire some grads from Tokyo or London or MIT. And for God's sake make Tom Abrahamsson head of r&d. - -- Johnny Deadman photos: http://www.pinkheadedbug.com music: http://www.jukebox.demon.co.uk
