I recommend Amateur Photographer which is published in England. It is released
weekly and I have it airmailed to my house in California. If you choose to
have it snailmailed rather than airmailed, naturally the annual subscrption
costs less. Anyways, the editors exclude no photo manufacturer. Leica, Hexar
RF, Bessa R, and Cosina lenses (screw mount for the Ms with an adapter) write
ups have appeared in many recent issues. Each issue contains user black and
white and color photos as well as news relating to new equipment releases.
There was even a recent article on Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull who has been
collecting and using Leica screwmount cameras for decades. Simply put, I find
Amateur Photographer satisfying my photography reading needs far more than any
American photo magazine. And its weekly arrival is great! Incidentally, they
have an ongoing photo contest for their readers and the top prize: an M6 TTL,
a 28 mm f/2.8 Elmarit, a 50 mm f/1.0 Noctilux, and the new 90 mm f/2 APO/ASPH
Summicron!
