To the best of my knowledge, the Leica H story was a spoof, and such a camera does not exits. If by some chance it is for real, 120 film and processing is expensive, much more so than 35mm film. If the camera retails for $14.95, where can I buy one? Regards, Bill ................................................................ Nancy McGirr teaches photography to underprivilaged children and was looking for donations. Well, the gears have been moving in the background and freestylesalesco has offered to sell the project a bunch of the famed leica-h models for $11 each. Tina and I are having a print sale to raise money for cameras. So here's the scoop. You send me a paltry $12, in return you get an 8x10 print and a child in guatemala gets a camera. Do you remember the person who gave you your first camera and showed you how to use it? Think of that person and open your wallet just a tiny bit to spread some of that same joy around. We're talking the price of a lenscap or processing for a single roll of film. You can't get an origional print for that anywhere. Let alone the satisfaction of having done something very good. The gift of a camera is much more than a physical object, it is an outlet for creativity, it stays with a person forever and can change a life -- it has certianly changed ALL of ours. To top it off, a print made from a camera that you bought for someone might be touring a gallery near you. Tina's prints are signed inkjets of the Lenica Church Service seen in the LUG's April contest, Faith. My prints are pearl finish RC copies of the West Philly Neighborhood shot seen in the March contest. I'll sign it if you want. There are 10 prints of Tina's shot and an unlimited number of mine. Please contact me _off list_ and specify which print you'd like. Once Tina's run out, you won't have an option. If you would like to donate MORE than $12, that's great, if you would like to donate something else, that's great too. One thing we are looking for is to book venues for a traveling exhibition. If you know a gallery, wall, coffee shop, etc. let me know. You can read more about Nancy McGirr's project here: http://www.oneworld.org/media/gallery/guatemala/1.html You can read more about the Leica-H here: http://www.asc.upenn.edu/usr/cassidy/leica-h/ Nancy McGirr has published a book of her student's photos, it's available on Amazon for $19, all proceeds go to the Project. The book is entitled Out Of The Dump. Thanks for your time. Seriously for once, Kyle __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send online invitations with Yahoo!
