Rumour has it that it was a flawed chip that caused the problem. Not a "faulty" chip, just one that had a design problem built in. At the moment I have 2 TTL's and (1 is a 247x xxx, and it seems to hold the charge fine now). The other one is a Millenium version and it would drain the battery in 3-4 days. I took it along to Solms in early March and it went for a brief "visit" to the repair department. It was gone for an hour and once it came back it has not drained the battery. Leica claims there was nothing wrong with it, but just in case, they gave me a couple of extra batteries! As a comparison, my Bessa-R has the original batteries in it 4 months later and at least a couple of 100 rolls of film later. Well, using the TTL also means carrying spare batteries! Tom A
