But gosh, Buzz, more salient points ;-)  The cap drives me nuts!  I can't 
tell you how many times I've found myself subconsciously fiddling with the 
nose of the lens to make sure it was still there!  And yes, I have goofed a 
couple of pix as a result of my failure to ensure that the hood was fully 
extended.
