It's a multimedia feature about...uh...American Photography. AND...on topic now...the August issue of "B&W" Black and White Magazine (for Collectors of Fine Photography, it says) has a little feature on a fella named James Whitlow Delano. I never heard of him either. Anyway...he's an American photographer living in Japan and is represented in the magazine by a small collection of pretty neat "pitchers" printed in that ersatz 19th Century Vaseline coated, burned-in, vignetted way that's considered cool right now. Although they have the look of a Holga, the pictures may have been taken with a Leica. No technical information on the shots is given (since the magazine's for ridiculously wealthy collectors, not shooters), but Mr. Delano's pictured in the article with an M3. His photos are kinda blurry, so he may have a UV filter on the Summicron. :- ) For my Boston buddies, the same magazine's got several really swell local photos by David Fokos. He used to work for Boston Acoustics as a speaker designer and is now trying to pursue a full time fine arts photography career. He's been getting increasing attention lately. Craig Boston
