Steve,

I believe the hood is a screw on type; the chrome would be 12549 (thanks,
Mr. Collier!); there's one available on KEH (LN-) for $43.  I'm looking for
black (figure the chrome would look silly on my black summi).

Sorry you missed Artscape this year--there's always next.  I'm going to keep
a better eye out for events in Baltimore and DC and make more of an effort
to attend them; for street shooting, they're a photog's dream.  Folks get
distracted enough by the events and performances that they really don't seem
to notice or care that you're taking photos; no matter how close I got (and
I got very close, at times even hitting the min. focusing distance on the
50), not one person avoided me or--worse--posed.

I saw lots of other photogs at the event, but no one else with a Leica.  I
did manage to spot an old Contax, a Ricoh, and a classic Cannon RF.  But
most everyone else had SLRs.  One lucky chap had a D1 slung over one
shoulder and an F5 over the other.
