I go under the assumption that Leica's filters are multicoated up the yin yang
and are in brass mounts and the whole bit.
If you made sure to special order B+W filters to be super duper multicoated
they'd be the same if not better.
There is some question as to if B+W is Making these filter for Leica.
It's a toss-up either way. You're going to pay more to have it say Leica on it.
And I think Heliopan is a viable option of equal quality to Leica or B+W. Shott
glass! (with what for a chaser?)
And as the front element of a Leica ASPH lens is from glass from HOYA having a
new high end filter from them would seem very apropos.
Except it would say "Hoya" on it!
