My name is Bob and I use UV filters on my Leica equipment. Buying Leica glass was a serious financial bite for me. I only had to take one look at my Nikon glass to decide to use filters. I have a couple of Nikon lenses with scratched coatings from setting them down on a rear lens cap in the bottom of the bag and other dumb stunts of similar nature. I simply can't afford to replace that 24mm Elmarit for a buggered front element . . . Worse yet, I am completely unrepentant . . . Bob (oh, the shame) McEowen
