I have a few copies left, but mostly they sell to the Japanese book collectors at there ridiculous prices. I am also about to buy a big collection of monographs in the near future...so after I do you might be interested in browsing them. That is if you are into monographs in general and not just the Clark books. I have been passionately involved in collecting them for about 12-15 years now and was lucky enough to get in before prices became crazy. I don't even go to Photographer's Place anymore because it makes me sick if I see anything I want. I would need to sell my car. Harvey showed me a few books that he wants $7500-$10k for now. WOW! There was no such thing as little as 5 years ago. (Well outside of Camera Work sets and some real obscure stuff I'd never heard of from the dawn of photography.) ...and now the point of my post... I did buy my copy of Tulsa on the street for $30 (even the street vendor knew it was worth something...) probably down the block from where you live. It was on Ave. A down the way from the NYU doorms. Probably about 8th Street. (we were doing Indian on 6th just before) So I guess it IS or at least WAS possible to find these on the street. That was the paper back copy anyway. I think it was a second edition. I bought my copy of Teenage Lust in Boston (actually three copies) for $50 each from a second hand books store. I think at the time I sold each of the other ones for $150...which now seem to bring as high as $400-$500. I think that is the better of the two books even though Tulsa sells for quite a bit more. The are both really raunchy books though with some sick stuff in them. I can't say that I'm a real fan when it comes down to it and talk about "amateurish" ...the technique really is not that good. Shock value stuff. I picked up a copy of Danny Lyon's _The Bikeriders_ this year (finally) but I won't tell you what I paid. I have the reissue, but I always liked Lyon more than Clark in that genre (if you can call it that) so I thought it would be nice to have in first edition. Get the reissue while you can if you don't have it. I predict that too will be scarce in the future. (I heard only 2000 printed?!?!) I see the guys on Prince Street near Bway with them for about $25 some times... later, Rich
