Subject: [Leica] Lenses' test for grey rendition in B/W

Hi,

If some of you have made a test regarding grey tonal range rendition of
Leica lenses
for B&W work, I'll be delighted if he's willing to share his experience
over here.

Basically, I'll be very interested if you have a test where a same scene
has been taken with lenses of different brands and where one can see a
difference in the tonal range on the negative.

As far as I'am concerned, the issue of resolution in this discussion is NOT
important.

I happen to ask this question as I made 3 contact sheets recently with a
Hexar AF and the result is quite different from what I've got with my old
35mm MD. Even more stunning than the results I've obtained sometimes ago
with a Leica M6, but I wasn't familiar enough with the Leica to get the
most out of it.

Being aware of all the hype around the HExar AF as a low budget Leica, I
keep telling
me that my impression is just "autopersuasion" for a path to another camera :)

Thanks.

Michel Le
