As you saw, the Heliar has a kind of buit-in shade that will appear in the picture corners. What I did is to slide a piece of paper between the lens and adaptor during the last turn of the lens to have indicator align. I doubt there will be any focusing problem provided the hudge DOF of the lens. I had the same problem with my first recently made no brand adaptor and found later a genuite Leitz one that provided a perfect alignment.
