As much as I respect both these guys I never could bring myself to put Sulfite in my Rodinal. I guess it makes me feel all important to disagree with the experts. Now however Xtol at 1:3 gives a smoothed out Rodinal look. Sharp and fine grain both. Putting Sulfite in Rodinal I don't think would give you both. You'd get less grain but a loss of resolution to match. Mark Rabiner
