Ok, Ted, I'll bite.

The slow speeds of my 45 year old Leica M3 recently died.  Its
rangefinder prism separated.
A 4-year old Nikon FG's electronics went kaput.  So much for the modern
design.
A 3-year old Minox GT-E's electronics went kaput.  Ditto.
Hmmm....
