Peter,
1.- Try Kodak Supra 400, if you want only one color negative film.
Today, it is better than anything the greenies make.
2.- Get a Leica Table Tripod and a Large Ball and Socket head or
something like it.
3.- Do not buy a lens just for the trip. It takes time to learn a new
lens. Work with what you already know.
4.- NEVER put film in checked baggage.
5.- Enjoy yourself.

PS-- Eisie got married in the fifties....I think
