I saw a 3rd one which was erattic until the internal switch contacts were cleaned, an easy job for a repair shop. As far as adjustments going out though, no, it just doesn't easily happen. The big problem really is what cell (battery) will be used with the demise of the mercury cells that deliver 1.35 volts. Two options I see, the CRIS adapter and the zinc-air types with the attendent short life of zinc-air cells(not that short I understand but I recall others saying less than a year) I don't recommend the alkaline 625 cellsbecause the output voltage varies too much from full charge to near depleted and will cause incorrect readings. If alkaline cells are used the meter can be adjusted to give correct readings at a specific voltage but a significant variation from that voltage will cause incorrect readings. Dennis
