I like B.D.'s suggestion of hanging some monster SLR on your neck to impress
all these women who keep dis-ing you for your tiny camera.  Could it be that
women really do think size matters?  ;-)

Of course you could also explain to your subject that the Leica is one
fancy-ass piece of German engineering coveted for the precision
craftsmanship and lenses that can resolve a million lines per millimeter,
but then you run the risk of one day discovering that you are wearing a
white belt and have joined a country club...

The bottom line is, did she let you take her picture or send you packing,
telling you to come back when you had a real camera?

P.S.  The things that cause you grief are what I like the most about the M
camera.  Small, unassuming, and few people take you serious when you start
ripping off shots for no discernable reason.
