I do a lot of portraits, stage photography, pictures of opera, and singers backstageand (maybe strangely) find the Leica better, even for the portraits. The reason, I think, is that while the Leica doesn't show the image exactly as it will appear, it does something more important: I can more easily keep a check on everything that is going on, because it is all in focus. If I am smart enough not to let a tree or pole grow out of the subject's head, less goes wrong than with the F2. I was surprised (still am) that people would look at my photographs and say "how did you notice that? " or "your timing is right on" more often once I changed cameras. That is the Leica, not me.
