The softy enabled me to use the camera in a new way, quite successfully I'm happy to say. I was taking portraits with a 100 APO (oh, what a lens). Usually with the 6.2, I hold the shutter at the top with elbow up in the air, but with the softy I tried holding the shutter down, pressing with my right thumb, with fingers providing an opposing force against the bottom plate of the camera. The camera was supported on a small manfrotto telescopic arm with a little ball head. My left elbow was resting on a chair back - all in all quite a steady position. I felt that there was a clear reduction in the 'perceived' thumb pressure needed to trip the shutter when using the softy. Actually, its difficult to press the 6.2 shutter button with a thumb - the softy makes it work much better. Thanks again to Robert. These softies will be getting some use. Regards Rick Dykstra
