Tom A Tom, I had a IIIc that showed the image in the sprocket area. A local Leica buff and amateur repairman fixed the problem by installing a spacer on the bottom plate to push the film cartridge further up into the chamber. Apparently the earlier cameras were designed for use with the self-loaded cassettes. Factory loads came on the market in cassettes that were shorter than the original Leitz self-loaders. These factory cassettes could slip down enough that the image is shot slightly on the sprocket area; at least that was my experience. Tom Furlotte Memphis TN USA tfurlott@midsouth.rr.com
