I guess they're all different. My old ones were wood with metal slides but these ARE probably plastic. But hard and thick. I see the Maco in my local photo stores walk-in but i wonder how long it will be there. The Kodak HIE has been around awhile and i think it will still be made for years to come. mark rabiner
