As for the Apo Macro Elmarit 2.8/100, watch out for the minimum distance
between fron lens and subject, with and without Elpro 1:1. The old 4/100
offers a greater distance, but 1:1 only with two macro adapters stacked.
If you use the lens stopped down, you may not exploit the apo's full
potenital.

BTW, I am the proud owner of a R 1.4/80 with three (!!!) cams and love
it on my SL.
