Subject: [Leica] Scanning B&W negatives for Cone Piezography Printing

I have recently acquired the gear for Cone Piezography printing in B&W.  The
question I have is whether those of you who use this process scan files in
tif or jpeg format.   Does one provide better files for working in
Photoshop?   Also, do you scan in RGB or grayscale?  I'd appreciate any
experience in this area.
