Actually, Panasonic has a great three chip camera that is considered
by those who've had a chance to try the various brands a better
choice than the equivalent Canon (GL1) or Sony (TR900). It's just not
imported into North America. It's the MX300 (PAL) or MX3000 (NTSC)
and is one of the models that uses the Dicomar lens. The lower spec
camera that uses this lens is brought into North America, and doesn't
compare that well.
